I’m being told that in the state of Iowa anytime you are driving a vehicle & can not pass a drug test you are OWI. For instance, if I smoked weed 2 weeks ago and got pulled over today and couldn’t pass a drug test I am DUI. True or false?

NAL It wouldn’t surprise me honestly. When I was pulled over in 2009, the officer drove me to a hospital to take a urine sample. I ended up with OWI (for marijuana) and this is in Indiana. There’s no way for them to know if you smoked today or weeks ago, they can just go by what’s in the urine and/or blood sample. Sounds shitty but it honestly wouldn’t surprise me.
O?
operating!
What happened to D?
different names for the same thing. I think it just depends on jurisdiction. DUI driving under the influence DWI driving while intoxicated OWI operating while intoxicated blah blah. All same thing
that’s wrong they are saying that I was intoxicated but that I was under the influence. So I was charged with DUI. Not OWI. That’s my fault, I put the wrong thing in the post. I will update it.
