But we have been doing well with this so far! So I’m hoping for the same thing. He’s asking for Saturday- Wednesday but he works every other Wednesday and that would leave no weekend days for me. So I offered every other Saturday and Sunday and he said no

You think dad is gonna fight for a change? If he tries to say his schudule changes…just state thats everybody…theres always a chance schudules at work can alternate…just part of being a parent…maybe offer makeup times for days he may miss, if his job would take up all his parenting time lots of people get custody order so that if it comes to a point that parents cant co parent…something black n white to fall on. But usually like in my custody agreement theres a clause that for special circumstances or normal day to day decsions we will work out between ourselves. Ex: switching weekends because his grandpa showed up in town or dad doesnt get off work in time on his day to pick up from school, so ill pick up and dad can get from my house.

He’s a police officer and the days he’s asking for have chances of his work schedule changing. We both have decision making, I’m just primary.

Ur probaly not gonna get any better then 70/30. They try for 50/50…so if they have pushed for a diff percentage then that, probaly thats thier final decision. They rarely do 100% custody and no vistation. Unless you have new evidence to present…then theyll make the temp order permanent…they usually see how it works out before they finalize it…give either parenr a chance to see if any changes need to be made.

In order to prevent that I had to show reasons that this was not beneficial for the child-as in mental, physical, etc. I’m unsure where you are or what your laws are, but I had to include those things in mine.
